"Stock in Six Flags fell almost ten percent yesterday after it suffered a huge drop in attendance over the last year. As a result, Six Flags has had to cut back a little bit, so some of their new rides are a little low budget…”

A piece I made for the Bottleneck galleries show a couple months ago. It’s Axel from Beverly Hills Cop shoving a banana into the sandworm from Dune. The theme of the show was 1984 movies. Ink Screenprint + Marker color/shading.

My #LateNightMemories began on the show’s 8th episode, when I was just an audience member who was given his own twitter experiment (see). I ended up meeting so many amazing friends because of it, it truly changed my life.

I’m so proud to now work on this show every day with tons of talented individuals. It’s truly incredible the amount of collective effort that goes into making just one episode of this show. I can’t wait for everyone to see all the work we’ve been putting into the new show.

Be sure to tune into the final episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” this Friday night. Then come back for the premiere of “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” on February 17th.

Submit to Animation Block Party 2014 Bumper.

#eleventh annual Animation Block Party film festival is this July 24-27 2014 in Brooklyn.

Filmmakers can submit now at: http://animationblock.com/submit

Promo animation by Bryan Brinkman: http://bryanbrinkman.com

Sound by David Wood, Eric Heavin and Sarah Masterson.

This was a lot of fun to create. Animation Block Party has always been a favorite festival of mine. Their screenings offer a wide range of styles and genres that I always find inspiring. I tried to inject that into this short animation. Big thanks to Dave, Eric and Sarah for helping create the audio that really made this animation feel complete.

Fun fact: Animation Block Party was the first festival to show my thesis film “The Coffee Bird”.

Ashley and I lived in this tiny apartment for 3 years in Sunnyside, Queens. We moved last month, but we still have a lot of love for this place. Here’s an ultra-detailed drawing I did of it before I left. Click to see it bigger.
