THANKSGIVING WEEKEND MOVIE RUNDOWN
Ashley and I watched way to many movies over this holiday weekend, here’s a rundown:
The Muppets - Good! Loved the cameos, the new songs were pretty good, and the overall nostalgia level was great.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes - Best talking ape movie since Congo. But really, I enjoyed it.
Source Code - Awesome, I loved Moon and this was a great follow-up. I loved the small claustrophobic sets.
Super 8 - (I had seen this one before in theaters) So many lens flares. Still great.
The Trip - Very funny, but the editing and pacing made it feel long and repetitive (I read this was originally a series that was cut into a movie. I would’ve preferred it being drawn out over a few episodes)
Our Idiot Brother - So many funny people involved (and the second movie we watched with Steve Coogan, it just didn’t do much for me. Paul Rudd’s character literally does not evolve the entire movie.
